Everybody starts somewhere. According to a new biography, "Citizen Kim," Kim Kardashian's very first magazine cover came from K9 Magazine in 2008, and she reportedly borrowed Nicole Richie's dog to get it, per TMZ.

The book frames the move as a sign of how hungry she was for exposure in the early days, years before the billion-dollar brand.
